This is a plain-language summary of the terms for using Komyo Games. It's written to be honest and readable rather than dense legalese.

1. Using the site

Komyo Games (komyo.online) is a small, independent catalogue of self-contained browser games, free to play with no account required. By using the site you agree to these terms. They may change as the site evolves (see §9); continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

2. It's free — no accounts, no payments

There are no logins, no purchases, and no ads. Your scores, progress, and settings live in your browser on your device (see the Privacy Policy). Optional tips via Buy Me a Coffee are just that — optional gifts, not a purchase of anything.

3. Acceptable use

Please use Komyo Games for personal, non-commercial fun. Don't:

• attack, disrupt, overload, or try to break the site or its hosting;
• attempt to access parts of the service you're not meant to, or interfere with other players' experience;
• scrape or reuse the site's content in ways these terms don't allow (see §5);
• use the site to break the law.

4. Display names & things you share

If you set a display name, it may be posted publicly (for example, with a score to our Discord — this is opt-in; the default is anonymous). Keep any name you choose respectful: no impersonation, harassment, hate, or content that's illegal or obscene. We may hide or remove anything that breaks this, and there's no expectation of privacy in something you choose to post publicly.

5. Our content

The games, code, artwork, and branding on Komyo Games belong to us (or are used under license). You're welcome to play and to embed a game using the site's own Embed feature, but please don't copy, sell, or pass off the games or brand as your own. If you'd like to do something beyond casual play or embedding, just ask.

6. Third-party services

Some features rely on third parties with their own terms — hosting (GitHub Pages), analytics (Google Analytics, only if you accept cookies), our newsletter (Kit), the feedback form (Web3Forms), and Discord. Your use of those features is also subject to their terms and privacy policies, which we don't control.

7. No warranty

Komyo Games is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We work to keep it fun and working, but we don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that saved progress can never be lost (browsers can clear local storage). Play accordingly, and use Export data if a run matters to you.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Komyo Games and its maker aren't liable for any indirect or incidental loss arising from using (or being unable to use) the site — it's a free games site made for fun. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that can't be limited under the law that applies to you.

9. Children

Komyo Games is family-friendly: no ads, no chat, no payments, no sign-ups. Some games are made for younger players. If you're a parent or guardian, you can decline the cookie banner so no analytics runs at all. See the Privacy Policy for how (little) data is handled.

10. Changes

We may update these terms as the site grows; the date at the top reflects the latest version.
