What makes komyo different from other game sites?
Most free-game sites run on ads, trackers, pop-ups and "sign up to save your score." komyo doesn't: no ads, no accounts, no pop-ups, nothing about you on a server. Every game is one clean, self-contained page that loads fast and even works offline. It won't have the most games on the internet — it's a small, hand-picked set, each one actually polished — but it'll always be the calm, no-strings way to just play. Made for fun, not for funnels.
Do I need an account? Where's my data stored?
There are no accounts — komyo has no logins and no server that keeps your stuff. Your scores, progress, favorites and settings live only in your browser, on this device. The optional exceptions, both only if you accept the cookie banner: Google Analytics, and an anonymous score post to our public Discord when you finish a game (your nickname is attached only if you turn that on in ⚙️ Settings). Decline the banner and nothing about you is collected or sent.
Are there leaderboards or online rankings?
No — on purpose. Leaderboards need accounts and a server to store everyone's scores, and we don't keep any of that (see above). You're playing against your own best. Scores you choose to share go straight to our Discord, not a database.
What are challenges, trophies and titles?
The 🏆 button opens daily and weekly challenges — small goals like a good run in a particular game. Completing them earns trophies (a daily pays 10 🏆, a weekly 50 🏆, and each day your first 3 good runs pay a +5 🏆 bonus). Trophies do two things at once: your lifetime total unlocks titles (tap the trophies pill to see the ladder), and your spendable balance buys collection skins in the 🎨 store — skins for the games, picked in each game's menu. Spending never slows the title ladder. All of it lives on your device, like everything else.
Is it really free? Any ads or payments?
Free forever — no ads, no payments, no subscriptions, no "premium" anything. If you'd like to chip in there's an optional Buy me a coffee, but every game is and always will be free.
Do I need to install anything? Does it work offline?
No install needed — it runs in any modern browser. You can optionally "Add to Home Screen" for an app-like icon. And after one online visit to the homepage, every game works offline — the whole catalogue quietly saves itself for later, so it keeps working on a plane or with no signal.
Is it safe for kids?
Yes — no ads, no chat, no payments, no sign-ups, and nothing about your child is stored on a server. Just games.
How do I keep my progress or move it to another device?
Your progress is saved in this browser, on this device — so clearing your browser data clears it. Use Export / Import in ⚙️ Settings to back it up or carry it between phone and desktop. There's no cloud sync, because (see above) there are no accounts.
